The GSA together with Center for Advancement in Teaching and Learning are working to develop a Graduate Teaching Program that will be offered to all U of L graduate students. This programs’ aim is to help graduate students acquire the knowledge and skills set to teach in the classroom or laboratory. More information is to come later in the summer of fall of 2008.

Below are some examples of workshops organized during the Spring 2008 semester.

The Center for the Advancement of Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CAETL) presents a workshop for Graduate Student Teaching Assistants on Assessment. We will cover all aspects of marking and grading: how to set up a marking guide, assignments versus tests versus essays, how to be fair and consistent, and how to deal with student complaints.
